Description
- Vought V-173 Flying Pancake/Flapjack. One of the most interesting designs of the World War II came from significant U.S. designer Charles H. Zimmerman. The machines were manufactured by Vought Company for which Zimmerman worked. His V-173 ‘Flying Pancake’ served for testing of the Navy F5U-1 fighter design concept. As the tests revealed, this unorthodox machine had very good flying characteristics. Moreover, this machine possessed huge range of speed variety and was highly maneuverable. The kit of this yellow and silver colored machine contains four sprues with plastic parts, injected clear parts and decals for the prototype machine.
