Description
Built by Alfa Romeo, the Giulia Spider was produced from 1962 to 1965 and the evolution of the Giulietta Spider of which incorporates the main aesthetic lines of the very successful design. The Giulia was equipped with a longitudinal four-cylinder engine with 1,570 cm3 more performing than the previous 1,300 cm3 used for the Giulietta. The adoption of the new engine required the modification of the front bonnet which also constituted an element of recognition and characterization. Aesthetic improvements were also made in the care of the interior, steering wheel and instrumentation. The transmission was based on a five-speed synchronized gearbox. It was produced in two versions: the “normal” 92 hp and the “fast” with the power supply with two carburetors and a power of 112 hp. She achieved a good commercial success and was especially appreciated for her unmistakable design “made in Italy”.
